The popularity of mobile phones has grown at an alarming rate of over recent years and it is unusual to encounter a person who does not own one. Mobile phones and associated products and services are big business and there are very few high streets in the UK which will not have at least one mobile phone shop on them, in most medium sized towns however it is not unusual to find at least five or six mobile phone shops each specific to a certain to network and then further independent shops catering to repairs and extras. As the technology behind mobile phones advances the level of interactivity and number of features to be found on most modern mobile phones is increasing also.

High end mobile phones will now often have full internet access allowing for browsing, access to email and even streaming videos, whilst some will be equipment with increasingly powerful digital cameras with some mobile phones now having 8 mega pixel and upwards camera onboard. Additionally touch screen technology is becoming common place on mobile phones as is the capability to double up as an mp3 player. The latest and most expensive mobile phones are also considered as fashion accessories and many people will try to out do each other, buying the most up to date phones as soon as they’re available.
